Faik Ali Chachar

Faik Ali Chachar belongs to District Ghotki. He was born on
June 07, 1979. Faik Ali Chachar obtained a BA (Hons) degree in
English Literature and Linguistics from University of Sindh
Jamshoro in 2000. He also got a Masters degree in English
Literature. During his student years, he took active part in
politics from the platform of a nationalist party of Sindh
which groomed his political capabilities. He joined Pakistan
Peoples Party Parliamentarian's Central Information Secretary
as a Media and Communication Coordinator in 2006. He has
earlier worked as an interpreter, coordinator and observer
with the European Union Election Observation Mission 2002
which led him to have first-hand experience and knowledge of
electoral processes. |

Farooq Shah

Farooq Shah was born on January 06, 1978. He belongs to
Karachi. Farooq Shah has passed his intermediate from
Government Degree Science College Orangi Town Karachi and
later completed his DHMS from Pakistan Central Homeopathic
Medical College in 1998. He is currently serving at Farooq
Medical centre. He is politically affiliated with Pakistan
Peoples Party Parliamentarian. He believes that Education and
Health need to be focussed on to improve the lives of people.
Apart from his political interests, Farooq Shah is also the
head of Global Anti Narcotics and Social Development
Organisation since 1999. His fields of interest include
Education, Women Development and Health. As a member of Youth
Parliament, he wishes to discuss the issues of unemployment,
corruption and terrorism as leading issues of concern to
youth. |

Hammad Khan Marri

Hammad Khan Marri was born on May 14, 1980. He belongs to
District Sanghar. Hammad Khan Marri got his secondary
education from Army Public School Murree and then completed
his graduation from University of Sindh, Jamshoro in Computer
and Information Technology. Hammad Khan Marri is politically
affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) and has
also been serving as the president of PML Tando Adam. He has
also worked with the Pakistan Senate’s Standing Committee on
Petroleum and Natural Resources as an intern. He has served
his professional services voluntarily for local bodies of 2005
election campaign. He is also a member of the Sindh
Development Society (SDS) since January 2004 as well as a
member of Medical Equipment Aid. His areas of interest include
Youth Affairs, Information & Broadcasting and Interior. |

Mehvish Muneera Ismail

Mehvish Muneera Ismail belongs to Karachi. She was born on
July 18, 1984. She completed her schooling from Karachi
Grammar School in 2003 and is a student of B.A/ L.L.B at
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). She has also
worked as a teaching assistant at LUMS. Mehvish is active in
extra-curriculr activities and is a member of the LUMS Law and
Politics Society. Mehvish Muneera Ismail has carried research
on the issue of the humanitarian crisis of the stranded
Biharis, the Juvenile System Ordinance 2000, and Police
Reforms with reference to the Police order 2002, and the NAB
ordinance, etc. Her areas of interest include Interior, Law
and Women Development. |

Mir Ghulam Murtaza Noonari

Mir
Ghulam Murtaza Noonari belongs to District Jacobabad. He was
born on March 02, 1983. He holds a Masters degree in Sociology
from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. He has worked as a
youth mobiliser and as an international volunteer in Global
Youth Exchange Programme. Currently, he is working with Youth
Action in Pakistan as a youth coordinator. He is also working
with Pakistan Young Greens as its Secretary General. Murtaza
has also remained President of District Student Alliance. He
is a member of the Youth Advisory Panel of the United Nations
Family Planning Association (UNFPA), United Nations Volunteer
Network (UNVN) and World Student Assembly. He seeks to address
several key issues from the Youth Parliament including gender
issues, social security, democracy, Pak-India relations and
youth participation in electoral processes. His main fields of
interest include Foreign Affairs, Youth Affairs and Commerce. |

Qurat ul Ain Marri

Qurat ul Ain Marri belongs to District Sanghar. She was born
on April 27, 1981. She completed her O Levels in 1998 and
A-Levels in 2000. She is currently enrolled in the Law
Programme. Her scholastic achievements include representing
her school at various public speaking events organised by the
European Union and the Jinnah Foundation. She has also
remained editor of her school newsletter and magazine. During
her brief stint at high school in the USA, she remained the
co-chair of the Lincoln Douglas Debate Squad, representing her
school at various debate meets including the Harvard Debate
Tournament of Champions. She has also written articles on
politics and social issues in newspapers. Her fields of
interest include Youth Affairs, Law & Women Development.

Riaz Hussain Wassan

Riaz Hussain Wassan belongs to District Khairpur. He was born
on February 05, 1984. Riaz Hussain Wassan holds a Masters
degree in Public Administration from University of Karachi
with a major in Human Resource Management. He is currently
working as a training consultant designing and managing
training programmes as well as delivering lectures at the
Sindh National Textile College. He has remained Vice Principal
of a school from 2000 to 2001 also. Riaz Hussain Wassan has
attended many seminars, workshops and short courses in his
discipline including some focusing on problem solving &
decision making. Interested in community affairs, Riaz is also
the president of Wassan Welfare Association since 2001. His
issues of interest include Education, Defence and Youth
Affairs. |

Saira Soomro

Saira Soomro was born on July 15, 1979. She belongs to
District Shikarpur, Sindh. She completed her schooling up to
A-Levels from Karachi Grammar School, where she also served as
the school perfect. She later completed her LLB from
University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom where she
graduated with honours in 2001. In the same year, she
qualified as a barrister from Society of Lincolns Inn. She has
served with Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim & Co. as an associate. She
later joined Liaquat Merchant Associates where her corporate
experience includes projects such as the merger of American
Express bank Ltd into JS Bank. On the political front, she has
participated in extensive election campaigns in different
parts of the country. She desires to focus on the development
of Health and Education facilities, especially for the female
population of her area. |

Sana Toaha Faridi

Sana Toaha Faridi belongs to Karachi. She was born on December
12, 1977. Sana Toaha Faridi got her intermediate degree from
College of Home Economics and later her bachelors degree in
Political Science from the Karachi University in 2003. She is
a house wife and has two sons. Sana is a staunch supporter of
democracy. Sana Toaha Faridi would like to highlight the
impediments in the way of democracy from the platform of Youth
Parliament as she believes that only youth conscious of these
issues can take Pakistan forward towards a sustainable
democratic future. Sana’s major fields of interest include
Education, Health, Youth Affairs and Labour and Manpower. |

Zaka Zahid Shafiq

Zaka Zahid Shafiq was born on November 03 1982. He belongs to
Karachi. Zaka has spent ten years at Aitchison College, Lahore
where he obtained his O-levels. From there, he moved to
Toronto, Canada to completie his high school education and
earned the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) in June
2001. Zaka obtained a BA (Hon) in Political Science &
International Relations from Trinity College, University of
Toronto. Zaka Zahid Shafiq possesses a keen interest in
Pakistan’s constitutional and legal history. He has also
worked on a project on judicial reforms in Pakistan and wrote
a paper on the jirga/tribal justice system for the report.
Zaka is keenly interested in learning more about Pakistan's
legal and legislative systems, especially through his
association with the Youth Parliament. His areas of interest
include Foreign Affairs, Finance, Law and Education. |
