  Safwan Ullah Khan

Safwan Ullah Khan belongs to District Rawalpindi. He was born on June 1, 1983. He completed his matriculation from Federal Government Sir Syed School Rawalpindi in 1998 and then passed his Intermediate from Government College in 2000. He has also graduated from the same College in 2002. He got his MSc Degree from Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi in 2005 and is pursuing his M. Phil in Biology. He is also serving as a researcher in the subject of biology. He has received two educational scholarships and got a 3rd position in the HEC inter-university debate competition in 2006. He is a member of the Hamdard Foundation since 1996. He is also a member of Daa’wah Academy and the Reader's Club. He is interested in Foreign Affairs, Interior and Youth Affairs.

Saif Ullah Khan belongs to district Lahore and he was born on January 04, 1983. He passed his Matriculation in 2000 and his Intermediate in 2002 and joined Preston University to get his bachelors degree in Information Technology. Siaf Ullah Khan has visited many countries including Turkey, Syria, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. Interested in youth affairs, Saif Ullah has been part of an official Youth Delegation to China in 2006. He is interested in Current Affairs, especially, defence and strategic and political affairs with their critical analysis. He likes music and to play guitar and his interests in sports include soccer and cricket. The issues of his interest include Sports and Foreign Affairs.

Saima Usman belongs to District Multan and she was born on November 24, 1984. She attended Army Public School Bahawalpur, Iqra Army Public School Quetta and then completed secondary education from Kehkahshan Army Public School Multan with distinction. She obtained her intermediate degree in pre-engineering from F.G Degree College Multan and got third position in Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education with a silver medal. She received her Bachelors of Engineering (Honours) degree in Telecommunication from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) with a third position in the University including a scholarship. Active in extra-curricular activities as well, Saima Usman has taken part in sports like athletics, baseball, badminton, etc. She has also held portfolios as Student Counselor, House Captain, and Prefect.

Syed Ali Raza belongs to Lahore and he was born on April 26 1983. He completed his O'Levels and Intermediate from Crescent Model Higher Secondary School. He completed his B.Sc. from Government College University, Lahore. He is pursuing a LLB degree at the Punjab University. He has represented his academic institution at different regional and international forums, including being member of the Trophy winning team in Law Moot Competition, at Government Law College, Mumbai, India in February 2005 and he a member of the Student Exchange Programme, organised by the University of Delhi where he met the President of India as well. He is undergoing legal apprenticeship at the Mujtaba Jamal Law Associates, Lahore. He has possesses writing experiences as a sub-editor in the Daily Nation. His areas of interest include Law and Food & Agriculture.

Syeda Afshan Batool belongs to Distrcit Vehari. She was born on May 07, 1979. She completed her Graduation in First Division from Bahauddin Zakria University Multan in 2004. She has an MA Islamiyat and a B.Ed degree from Allama Iqbal Open University. She has attended National Cadet Course during her academic session. She has also been taking part in college debates. Book studying, especially events of early Muslim rulers and historical events are her favourite pastimes along with newspaper reading. By profession she is a teacher at the Askari Cadet School, Burewala. She thinks that Youth Parliament should raise the issues of Lack of Educational standards and feudalism.   Umair Javed

Umair Javed belongs to Lahore. He was born on October 15, 1985. He completed his O'Levels and A'Levels from Beaconhouse, Islamabad. He is a student of BA\LLB at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Active in extra-curricular activities apart from his studies, Umair Javed as a junior at LUMS was part of the Law & Politics Society's Constituent Assembly that drafted the constitution for the society. He also contested and won the elections for Vice President of the society. He has had the honour of representing LUMS and Pakistan at Jean-Pictet Competition on International Humanitarian Law held in 2006 at Serbia Montenegro. His fields of interests are Foreign Affairs, Defence and Law.

Wajiha Zia belongs to District Vehari. She was born in August 02, 1983. She Completed her Matriculation from Defence Public School, Lahore in 1999, her intermediate from Lahore College for Women University in 2001, and holds a B.S. Honours in Communication Studies from University of the Punjab in 2006and a B.A. with English Elective, Political Science, Fine Arts from Lahore College for Women University in 2003. Apart from these, Wajiha has a diploma in Informatics. She has worked at the Institute of Communication Studies as a Researcher for Media and Marketing Committee. Afshan Laeeque Khan belongs to Karachi and she was born on December 04, 1984. She passed her Intermediate from Abdullah Government College, Karachi and is pursuing a bachelors degree. Afshan is deeply interested in political issues of the country and believes that all concerted efforts need to be made for sustainable democracy and upholding of the rule of law in Pakistan. Politically she is affiliated with the Jama’at-e-Islami where she is Nazima of Orangi Town Karachi. She is a member of Al-Khidmat Foundation since 2003 where she holds the position of Administrator. She has participated in different seminars and workshops on Youth affairs. Afshan Laeeque has visited different countries. Her fields of interest include Foreign Affairs, Education and Women Development.

 
       
  Akhtar Muhammad Shah

Akhtar Muhammad Shah belongs to Madeji, District Shikarpur. Born on 22nd Jul ’83, Akhtar attended Public School Sukkur for 13 years, from grade 1 through to 12, before passing HSC from Sukkur Board while securing First Position under seat no. 61030 in 2001. He obtained bachelors Computer & Information Systems Engineering from NED University Karachi in Jan 2006 with Distinction. During his school & university life Akhtar remained active both in academic and co-curricular activities earning Gold Medal in Sindh School Games (1999), securing First Position in All Pakistan English Essay Writing Contest (2000), remaining captain of Sukkur Board hockey team (2001), getting gold medals in athletics at university (2002-2006), playing hockey at the national level (2004-2006), being merit scholarship holder (2002-2006), serving as Member of Youth Parliament  and elected chairperson of Standing Committee on Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs (2007). Akhtar has been working for Standard Chartered Bank for last 5+ years where, presently, he is Associate Portfolio Manager in Singapore office responsible for managing corporate bank’s credit portfolio to maximize risk-adjusted return through better origination discipline, portfolio optimization and asset distribution (CDS hedging, single name distribution and structured distribution through CLOs). Politically Akhtar is aligned to PPP; and, education, economy, finance and professional development are his areas of interest.

 
       
  Basil Nabi Malik

Basil Nabi Malik belongs to Karachi. He was born on October 16, 1984. Basil is pursuing his LLB from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). During his stay at LUMS, he has undertaken many projects relating to law and politics owing to his interest. In October 2006, he moderated and organised a panel discussion on the status of the Northern Areas of Pakistan. He was also a member of the constituent assembly which created the constitution of the Law and Politics Society at LUMS.
