Khawaja Hamid Mushtaq

Khawaja Hamid Mushtaq belongs to District Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Born on December 24, 1983, he completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro in 2004. With a bright academic record, he was the recipient of gold medal in Matriculation examination and has also participated actively in extra-curricular activities such as debates, sports, dramatics, scouting and editing of University magazine, etc throughout his academic life. Khawaja Hamid Mushtaq was also the founding member and General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Student’s Organisation, Sindh Chapter at his university. His professional experience includes working for AJK PWD, WAPDA and National Highway Authority. His fields of interests include foreign affairs, housing & works and interior affairs.

       
  Kamran Khan Kakar

Born on May 08, 1987, Kamran Khan Kakar belongs to District Quetta. He has a bachelors degree and has participated in extra-curricular activities alongside his studies. Kamran Khan Kakar has been active in athletics and has been the captain of Balochistan Athletics Team for Boys and Girls Junior Championships held at Islamabad in 2003 and in Karachi in 2003 and 2005.He participated in International Marathon Race at Lahore in January 2005, won first position in Balochistan Anti Narcotics Force Marathon Race and has, to his credit, a Bronze Medal in 1500 meters All Pakistan Athletics Championship. On the political front, he has worked on voter registration campaign in Nawa Killi Quetta while he has participated in polio campaign with World Health Organisation, UNICEF, and the Government of Pakistan. Kamran was a participant in All Pakistan Youth Camp of Ministry of Youth Affairs in 2003 and 2005. His fields of interests include sports, education and women development.

 
       
  Liaqat Ali Shahwani

Liaqat Ali Shahwani was born on May 10, 1978. He belongs to Quetta District. Liaqat holds Masters degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Balochistan, Quetta. A political activist, Liaqat is affiliated with the National Party. Liaqat Ali Shahwani believes that tribalism, feudalism, dictatorship and bureaucratic style of governance are the major problems of Pakistan today. He is keenly interested in learning about different political systems, constitutions and the evolution of democracy in different societies. Also active in sports, Liaqat has served as Secretary General of Sariab Sports Board from 2000 to 2003. Foreign Affairs, Youth Affairs and Education are the main areas of his interest. He speaks six different languages including English, Urdu, Pashto, Balochi, Persian and Brohvi.

 
       
  Qasim Khan Badini

Qasim Khan Badini was born on March 15, 1988. He belongs to District Noshki. He matriculated from Helper Public School, Noshki and got his intermediate degree from Tameer-i-Nau Public College, Quetta in 2006. Qasim Khan Badini served as the president of the students union at his school. Qasim Khan Badini believes the Youth Parliament should inculcate a sense in youth of how to strengthen democracy and also sensitise the youth towards the need of positive political involvement in the governance affairs of the country. Qasim Khan Badini is a member of organization for union of youth since 2002. Foreign Affairs, Defence and Health are the main fields of his interest in addition to issues relating to opportunities ofemployment overseas for Pakistanis.

 
       
  Yawar Abbas

Yawar Abbas was born on July 05, 1984 and belongs to Kurram Agency in the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Yawar received his early education from Peshawar while he obtained a Masters degree in Political Science from Government College University, Lahore. A bright student, he was awarded an academic Certificate of Distinction for obtaining second position. Yawar was also elected as the President of the Quaid-e-Azam Political Science Society at GCU Lahore. He represented the Debating Society of GCU Lahore, at various debating competitions. Yawar has also served as a research associate under a HEC Scholarship Programme and has written a number of research papers and articles. Yawar wishes to pursue further education in the disciplines of Political Science and International Relations. His areas of interest include the role of UNO, International Humanitarian Law and Pakistan’s Foreign Policy.

 
       
  Aatika Nagrah

Aatika was born on November 25, 1984 and belongs to Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). She is pursuing her Masters degree in Economics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and set to graduate in February 2007. She got her bachelors degree from the Punjab University securing 1st position at her college and was subsequently placed on the college Roll of Honour. Throughout her academic career, Aatika has held several student body positions including the current Presidency of the Economics Society at the Quaid-i-Azam University. She is also co-editor of the University magazine. Aatika has been involved in volunteer work for Tsunami victims and the Earthquake affectees in Pakistan with the UNDP and the MKR Foundation. She also possesses a one-year internship experience at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and at The World Conservation Union (IUCN). Her main fields of interest include Economic Policies, Women Development, Youth Affairs, Sports, Finance and Foreign Affairs.

 
       
  Mariam Raza Zaidi

Mariam Raza Zaidi was born on June 22, 1983 and belongs to ICT. She completed her BA in English Literature and Applied Psychology from Federal Government College Islamabad in 2004 and won a Gold medal. Currently she is a student of International Relations at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Possessing a diverse portfolio of extra-curricular activities, Mariam has actively participated in debates, served as national debating coach, event manager, documenter, teacher, personality coach and volunteer. She has won different debates and competitions. Mariam has also represented Pakistan at the 11th IYLC conference, Prague, Czech Republic. She is a member of Pakistan Debating Society, Board of Governors of 3 RS, NGO and the Alpine Club. She has also remained a member of the Oxford Debating Society England from 2001 to 2004. Her fields of interests include Foreign Affairs, Defence and Youth Affairs.

 
       
  Mustafa Hyder Sayed

Mustafa Hyder Sayed was born on September 16, 1988. He completed his A-Levels from Froebel's International School in 2006. He was recently admitted in the Hobart and William Smith College, a liberal arts college in upstate New York, USA. His interests include debating, tennis, working out and politics. A debater as well, Mustafa has participated in numerous debating competitions. He also participated in Model United Nations at LUMS. Tennis is his favourite sport and he attended Harvard University and MIT summer tennis programmes in Massachusetts, USA. In the future he plans to pursue his interest in politics, economics and law. These are also the subjects he plans to study in college. He is also interested in foreign affairs. He believes the youth Parliament should address issues such as inflation and youth & education.

 
       
  Osama Azeem Chaudary

Osama Azeem Chaudary was born on February 19, 1987. He is a student of A-Levels. Osama is part of the school debating team and has represented his school at many debating contests including the Model UN at Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2006. Osama has also worked as an intern at the Pakistan State Oil during summer 2006 honing his skills in business report writing and amanagement affairs. Osama Azeem Chaudhry also writes occasionally for the “Daily Post” on Socio-Political issues. Also interested in sports including athletics and cricket, he has been declared the best athlete of his school from 1999 to 2001. He has been also selected in the Islamabad under-19 cricket squad in 2004. His fields of interest include Foreign Affairs, Economics, Interior Affairs and Law.

 
       
  Shahzad Zaheer

Shazad Zaheer was born on September 09, 1981. He has completed his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Bahria University, Islamabad in 2006. He was not only scholarship holder for four consecutive semesters in his university but also a class representative and an avid sportsman, with special interest in cricket. Since his graduation he is focusing on energy and power, as he believes that the future growth and development of Pakistan will depend to a large extent on the manner in which the country develops these two sectors. Regional and political affairs also fascinate him especially local political scenario and developments in the Central Asian and the Middle Eastern states. He believes society has a responsibility towards the welfare of less privileged people especially in the areas of health, education and economic uplift. He has worked with Pakistan Tobacco Company as an internee during 2004 and 2005.
